Re-visiting Earlier Works

As much as we may like to move forward in our art journeys, I believe looking back is valuable. Besides feeling a sense of pride, we can extract details that are useful as a jumping off point to new creations.

This mixed media work, "Echoes of Purple" is one of my earlier ones and inspired "Echoes of Purple 2".

I like the deep colour, the texture and the freedom. I was excited about this new way of artistically expressing myself and was forging ahead with enthusiasm. I've decided not to sell it; I'm keeping it around as an inspirational reminder of my early eagerness. And who knows? Maybe an "Echoes of Purple 3" will appear one day...
