Arts Opportunities

We're very lucky in our community, to have many opportunities to participate in arts-based events. Just this past weekend, over 25 artists participated in a project, in which the finished pieces will be displayed in Surrey COVID centres. I submitted 'Periwinkle Abstract'; at 24" x 48", it's my largest work to date and it's inspired me to do more. The theme was nature, so I chose to paint a periwinkle or creeping myrtle. The colour periwinkle has been a favourite of mine since childhood.

The paint, brushes and canvasses were supplied to us - many thanks to the City of Surrey, Arts Council of Surrey, Opus Art Supplies, United Way BC-Lower Mainland, Studio 73, and Fraser Health Authority.
