'Tracks, Ties & Ballast at Sullivan Station'
I've kept my promise to myself, and have created several projects in the last couple of weeks. I'm not against working hard for my art and it feels glorious! With my studio being more organized and spacious - plus the new paint and baseboards - it's a joy to spend time there now. All of this leads to making more art!
The most recent project, is my submission for the 'Paint the Train' exhibit at the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway. I'm hoping to have my piece exhibited in their museum on site next month. I decided on an inkjet print of a photo I took of the tracks on which the electric railway travels. I transferred it to a wood panel, which I embellished with acrylics. Shown here are three stages of the work; mid-transfer, transfer completed, and embellished (painted) with acrylics and pastel pencils.
A few more details and then 'Tracks, Ties & Ballast at Sullivan Station' will be complete.
